KSM is an American rock band from Los Angelesformed in 2006. The members of the mand are Shelby Cobra (lead vocals)Katie Cecil (guitar and vocals )Sophia Melon (bass guitar ), Shea Padilla (lead guitar) and Kate Cabebe (drums)
The group released their track Hero In You in 2008 on the Walt Disney Records compilation Girlz Rock 2 . They toured with the Tour of Gymnastics Superstars in the fall of 2008.
KSM is currently recording their first album on Buena Vista Records with producer and songwriters Matthew Gerrard and Robbie Nevil.They decided to pick up the name KSM because combining their first name letters are all K's or S's and of course the word music. KSM got it's start in 2006 when a band called GoGos decided that they wanter to mentor a new rock band made up of teenage girls.
- Kate Cabebe, the drumer grew up in Camarillo, CA. She was taking violin and mandolin lessons as a child and she took up drums at the age 13.
- Shea Padilla the lead guitarist grew up in Lancaster and when she started singing and performing her brother started drum lessons to play along with her. She loved rock bands, her favorite are Sum41 and she tought herself to play lead guitar riffs.
- Katie Cecil who is playing the guitar and at the same time she sings in the band , was raised up in North Carolina. She tried acting on stage , television and films. But music was always her biggest love.
- Shelby Combra , joined the group at the right time. when the band decided to change type and become from pop to rock! She was from Sana Clarita, CA and with her family's support started auditioning at a very young age . When she was 12 she started studying voice and performance.
